Kaitlyn Sharp, CGA, CAPS 

After moving to Houston in 1980, Kaitlyn worked as a CPA in two "Big 8" accounting firms before opening her own accounting practice.   As the CPA for  Custom, Kaitlyn was given the opportunity to learn the business from the inside out.  In 1994, she joined the business full-time and transitioned quickly into sales.  In 1996, the business was named one of the Top 50 Women-Owned Businesses by the Houston Business Journal.  

Kaitlyn believes that education is never-ending; and she has been trained in plumbing, carpentry and woodworking   In addition, she has studied extensively with the National Association of Homebuilders, earning the Certified Graduate Associate and Certified Aging in Place Specialist designations.  She enjoys passing on what she has learned.

She has sustained and enhanced the company's vision with a showroom open only by appointment so that clients are given the respect and time they deserve ... and so that she and her trained staff can visit job sites ... before the marble is cut and installed.

Tamisha Herd, General Manager

Kaitlyn is giddy after being named a finalist by Houston's National Association of Women Business Owners for the award of 2008 Woman Business Owner of the Year.  The gala and announcement of the 2008 WBOY will be October 23 at the Hotel Derek.  Proceeds from the event will benefit The Rose, an organization that provides breast cancer screenings and early access to treatment regardless of the woman's ability to pay.  For further information, please go to www.NAWBOHouston.org.
